Night Vision
This section explains how the camera works in low-light or night environments, and how to adjust night vision settings for the best image quality.
1. Night Vision Mode
Night Vision Mode allows the camera to capture clear images and videos in low-light or dark conditions. When enabled, the camera will automatically switch to night vision at night or in low-light environments.
Available Night Vision Options:
🌙 Auto Mode
Automatically switches between day and night based on ambient light.
⚫ Night Mode (Black & White)
Uses infrared LEDs to provide clear images in complete darkness.
🎨 Color Night Vision (if supported)
Uses ambient light to display color images at night.
✨ Starlight Night Vision
Uses a high-sensitivity image sensor to capture available ambient light (such as moonlight or street lighting) to produce color images in low-light conditions without activating white light.
💡 Night Vision Tips
- Avoid placing the camera too close to glass, walls, or reflective surfaces to prevent infrared reflection.
- Ensure there are no objects blocking the infrared LEDs.
- Starlight night vision performance depends on the amount of available ambient light, installation angle, and distance to the monitored area.
🌟 Recommended Usage for Starlight Night Vision
Areas with some ambient light at night (e.g. streetlights, porch lights).
2. WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) Mode
WDR Mode helps improve image clarity in scenes with both bright and dark areas. When WDR is enabled, the camera balances exposure automatically, allowing you to see more details in shadows and highlights.
📸 Recommended Usage Scenarios
- Areas with strong backlight, such as windows or doorways.
- Outdoor scenes with streetlights or headlights at night.
⚠️ Important Note
Enabling WDR may slightly increase image processing time, which is normal and does not affect performance.
